A Huge Thank You to Skål International Broome!
A big thank you to Skål International Broome for hosting a fabulous weekend during our recent Annual General Meeting in March. As expected, the weather was hot, but so was the content and networking at the social events and formal meetings throughout the weekend.
It’s always a pleasure to catch up with Skålleagues from around Australia—and on this occasion, from around the world! These events wouldn’t be the same without the dedicated members who attend, and I want to extend a special thank you to all who made the time to join us. Whether reconnecting or meeting for the first time, we all came together to “do business among friends.”
As this meeting was the AGM, we had the opportunity to share valuable insights into our membership composition for 2024. We also discussed the direction for growing our presence both locally and nationally in 2025. There are always great opportunities to invite new guests and encourage our industry colleagues to get involved in the world’s largest travel and tourism networking organisation.
Congratulations to Our Award Winners!
A huge congratulations to Michael Collins, who was deservedly named Skålleague of the Year; to Skål International Darwin for receiving the Club of the Year award; and to Canberra and Darwin for their outstanding membership growth. These are fantastic achievements and were rightly celebrated during the weekend.
Membership Videos Launch
We’re also excited to announce the launch of the final package of our membership videos. The last video has been included in this newsletter. You can visit our YouTube page to access the videos or reach out to your local club president, who has received the full suite for sharing and posting on social media. I look forward to seeing these videos spread across the web!
Looking Ahead to the National Assembly
Looking forward, I’m happy to share that the National Assembly, hosted in Adelaide from September 5th to 7th, is coming together beautifully. The host hotel is booked, and the expo, welcome function, and gala dinner are nearly finalised! Be on the lookout for registration and booking details, which will be sent out in May. We’re excited to see so many of you in Adelaide!
